Landscape, 4K, Realistic (2023-2024) is installation with printed souvenir created with AI generated images and simulates a souvenir shop filled look-a-like images of scenic landscapes, and tourists' portraits.

The work plays as an exploration of the idea of photographic souvenirs and how we recall the abstract concept of a certain time in a specific place. A souvenir, which originates from the French word meaning “to remember”. It can also be seen as a materialized memory, whether it takes the form of merchandise, collected items in particular place and time, or photographs we take. The work simulates a souvenir shop filled with seemingly old photo postcards, mundane scenic magnets, and clichéd photographs of tourists in front of the waterfront. The work  It attempts to explore the materiality of scenic souvenirs in tourism and how postcard souvenirs have become part of the historical archives of a place. The title of the work hints that these photographic items are actually AI-generated images. The tactic of using AI-generated graphics also explores and imagines a future era where we could easily restore the past of a place that is constantly changing. It encourages spectators to ponder our heavy dependence on media images to connect with the world as a“spectacle.”
